The Players Tribe interview with C/O 2022 point guard Dallas Hobbs of Lonestar Elite & Prise Academy
The Players Tribe: Dallas, for the people who don’t know you, how would you describe your game?
Dallas Hobbs: "My bad my man I’ve been on the road back from Atlanta! I would describe my game as a player that can do everything, can play on and off the ball, I’m a scoring point guard."
It’s all good! So Dallas, we know that you recently announced that you will be reclassifying to the 2023 class, what are a few things that you would like to get better at by the time you graduate High School?
"The primary thing I’m working on is my body and picking up weight so I can go into college with a college-ready body, so I can make an immediate impact."
What do you expect this to do for your recruiting & recognition?
"My recruitment was already blowing up so I know it will continue to do so. Recognition wise, when you’re putting up the numbers and putting in the work they have no choice to acknowledge you!"
What are the main components you look for when looking at schools & what have been some schools that you have been in contact with recently?
"I look for fit first, but I want to go into a program with a winning culture as well, Also academics. I want to major in business law, so they have to have a good business school. I’ve been talking to Princeton, Boise State, La Tech, Fresno State, Missouri State, UC Riverside, New Mexico, UTA, IUPUI, and Texas State. A lot more, but those are the ones who have shown the most interest."
What would be some of your goals for yourself & for your school team this upcoming season?"
"Winning as much as possible! As a point guard that’s what I’m judged, but for myself, I don’t have any personal goals when it comes to like stats or anything I just want to go and play my game and showcase my ability on the biggest platform there is."
Last one! Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
"In college or someone's NBA team!"
Dallas Hobbs will be taking his talents to Columbia, Missouri this upcoming season and is expected to be an immediate impact player at Prise Academy.
