Here is our insightful Q&A.

by David Michael

How did it feel when you heard that you got the Overtime offer?

"It felt good to hear from OTE valued my skills enough to offer me a contract. Especially at 15 years old".

"When it comes down to it, what things go into making your final decision? college vs OTE."

"Biggest thing is my family. I had a lot of really good options for school early. Talked to a lot of schools that we think would have offered late July."

What are your thoughts on the Purdue program, coaching staff, what’s their pitch lately?

"It’s a program that’s been consistently good. Coach Painter and the staff said they want guys they think can help them win. They said they offered me day one of the live period in June because they see in me what they need and liked the growth they’ve seen the last couple of years. A lot of people are comparing me to Jaden Ivey right now. Since they offered, Coach Painter has been to all my games, I talk to Coach Brantley a lot."

Overtime Elite, it’s still a new league, but they have already gotten plenty of guys signed, they seemed to have a lot to offer, what are your thoughts on the program?

"I thought the experience was good. I think I did ok being new and not knowing anyone. The guys that are there are high-level kids. Like Purdue, they saw me as something they didn’t currently have. The trainers, workouts, and stuff were all high-level stuff. My parents think it’s a really good opportunity."

What did OTE say about their educational program?

"It’s similar to regular high school but they give kids a chance to learn about investing, small business, NIL (Name, Image, Likeliness), and money management."

How would you describe your game? What is a program getting from you?

"I try to play the game the right way by making the right play. Big guard that can score on all three levels. I create a lot of fouls and get to the FT line a lot. I try to be a scorer Vs a shooter or a slasher. I think my biggest thing is in transition. I feel good getting a rebound and going coast to coast reading,

angles, and gaps. Defensively I try and use my length. Try and get a couple of blocks a game."

Weaknesses? What needs to be better?

"I’d say I need to shoot a higher percentage from the three-point line. That and being able to guard the point position better."
